چکیده

The current investigation aimed to assess the impact of land use changes on groundwater quality because extensive mining activities in coal province Mahan River catchment area, which is located Surguja district Chhattisgarh, India. water index (WQI), Collin’s ratio, stable isotope ratios molecules (δ18O and δD), various physicochemical parameters were measured determine suitability for domestic purposes. Water samples collected from dug wells, tube river water, mine analyzed, results revealed that 28% classified as excellent 44%were good during pre-monsoon period. In post-monsoon period, 50% categorized good, while 35% poor, whereas areas, 54% found be unsuitable this increased 77% Stable analysis was also conducted: plotted right Local Meteoric Line (LMWL) bivariate plot, observed slopes all smaller than LMWL. enrichment δ18O ratio negative d-excess values at certain locations suggest occurrence non-equilibrium processes mixing mechanisms.

The impacts of different land use changes on groundwater level using quantitative model WEAP (Case study: Chaharmahal Bakhtiari province, Iran)

Reduction of water resources limits the ability of farmers for food production and subsistence. Nowadays the quick growth of population has been the most important factor in the decline of renewable water. In many parts of Iran, including region of interest, the major factor in water resources decline was land use change, that may  cause to ecological destruction and disruption. Sustainabl...
